The Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana is home to the Bower-Suhrheinrich Foundation Gallery. We encourage visual, literary and performing artists, cultural organizations and corporations in the region to support the arts and join us now for wonderful artful experiences!
2011 was a pivotal year for The Arts Council because of its decision to no longer serve as a regional area partner for the Indiana Arts Commission. This has provided us with an exciting opportunity to direct our focus and resources in the cultivation and nurturing of a lively arts community in southwestern Indiana and its sister states.
We seek to create cross collaboration with all arts organizations in order to build a strong a supportive base of resources, information, and sustainability for those who enrich our lives with their creative expression and artistic talent. We are currently in the process of developing concrete objectives and goals and welcome members input and perspective.
To be the best resource for information and advocacy of the fine arts through cross collaboration and partnership building with educators, artists, patrons, governmental agencies, art organizations and institutes, private businesses and citizens in order to bring cultural and economic development, awareness and appreciation of the fine arts in the Tri-State region.
