Artists needed for 2012 “Art Among the Azaleas”

Applications are available for area artists interested in participating in the second “Art Among the Azaleas” event. Scheduled to be held May 5, 2012 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. (CST) at the Azalea Path Arboretum & Botanical Gardens located northeast of Princeton, Indiana, the event will provide the public with an opportunity to observe artists as they create their works amid the beauty of the Azalea Path. Artists will also be offering their works for sale. Food and entertainment will also be included in the admission price and proceeds will go to the LifeSkills Classes of the North Gibson School Corporation.
Artists of all media (including photography) are invited to apply to participate in “Art Among the Azaleas.” There is no fee for artists to enter, however, artists must fill out an application and submit photos of examples of their work before being accepted into the event. Information and application forms can be obtained by contacting the Gibson County Visitors & Tourism Bureau at 1-888-390-5825 or via e-mail at info@gibsoncountyin.org. Application forms can also be downloaded from www.gibsoncountyin.org (click on Documents/Guides tab on home page) orwww.azaleapatharboretum.org.
- There is no entry fee for participating artists.
- Artists will be notified with a confirmation of acceptance.
- This is not a juried show.
- Artists may display a maximum of 2 pieces of art on easels during the event but may bring as many pieces to sell as desired.
